🧠How to Pick Your Money Making Niche
But I'm passionate about everything??
Welcome to Week 8 of the Creator Chronicle!
Crazy to think it’s been a full 2 months of writing this - thanks to everyone who has read along the way! I really appreciate all of the support :)
Now I know you are a very diverse individual. You probably have a ton of varied interests, traits, likes, dislikes, quirks, commonalities, expressions, thoughts, opinions… you get the drift.
All that to say is - you’re probably human.
But as an unfortunate reality of your humanity, how can you possibly choose just one niche to base your creator brand on??
That seems cruel. I want to be able to talk about whatever I want, whenever I want, wherever I want.
And that is the ultimate goal. To be able to make a video about any interest of yours and have it pop off.
But when you’re first starting out, you need to be crystal clear about your value proposition. People need to know you for one thing. They want to be able to go to your brand and have their expectations met.
So the first thing you need to do is niche down.
But how do you choose that awesome, profitable, exciting niche that wakes you up in the morning with a burning desire to start talking about, when there are so many options out there and you’re passionate about so many things?
Let’s find out…no need to be stressed.
How to Pick Your Money Making Niche
1) Identify Your Passions
Choose a niche that aligns with your interests and passions. Think about what topics or activities you enjoy most in your daily life.
When you're passionate about your niche, you'll be more motivated to work hard and create valuable content. Now, that being said - DON’T pick your niche just based on your passions alone. That leads me to my next point…
2) Research Market Demand
You need to explore the market to see if there's actually a demand for your chosen niche. Look for trends, popular topics, and areas where people are willing to spend money. Use tools like Google Trends, social media platforms, and keyword research to check out the interest and the competition.
If there is demand - great! You can now go to the next step…
3) Consider Your Expertise
Assess your skills, knowledge, and experience in different areas. Your expertise can help you stand out in a crowded niche and provide unique value to your audience. Consider what you're good at and what you can offer that others can't.
If you don’t have expertise, people will sniff out the BS, and you’ll lose motivation just as soon as you started.
4) Define Your Target Audience
Clearly define who your target audience is within your chosen niche. Understand their demographics, interests, problems, and needs. Tailor your content and offerings to meet their specific requirements and provide solutions to their problems.
You’ve got to identify your ICP (ideal customer profile) - let that be your guiding light.
5) Evaluate Profit Potential
Finally, consider the profit potential of your chosen niche. Think about how you can monetize your brand through various channels such as affiliate marketing, sponsored content, digital products, or services. Choose a niche where you can effectively monetize your expertise and attract paying customers.
Easy, isn’t it?? That’s why everyone is doing it! Not…

Creator Exclusive Weekly Interview … with Andrew Shu
An excerpt of our interview with college student, street performer, and TikTok star Andrew Shu…
Hey Andrew! How did you come up with your content and creator idea?
Well, my journey as Andrew Shu the content creator started from a childhood love for watching Minecraft YouTubers. I remember those days when my brother and I would record ourselves playing Minecraft on the iPad, diving into adventures like Hunger Games.
The idea of creating content always lingered in my mind, but it wasn't until later that I felt the urge to pursue it seriously. Initially, I had other aspirations, thinking I'd end up in a traditional corporate job.
But deep down, like every kid, I had dreams of becoming a YouTuber. Fast forward to when I started street performing, and something just clicked. The energy of the crowd, the interaction, and the shared love for music made me realize that this could be something worth recording and sharing. My upload schedule was erratic at first, posting maybe once a month on TikTok or even less frequently.
However, the magic of content creation lies in capturing that one perfect moment. And that's exactly what happened to me. I happened to record the right performance at the right time, and it caught fire. Fortunately, I had some background in editing that I figured out through various video projects in the past. This allowed me to craft compelling stories around my performances.
The overwhelming support and following I received after that viral moment served as fuel to my fire. It showed me that there was genuine interest in what I was doing, and that encouragement pushed me to keep posting regularly.
So, you could say it was a blend of childhood dreams, a love for music, and the right timing that led me to become the content creator I am today.
